VIP parking for gadgets and gear.

BackPack is the perfect place to park portable hard drives, hubs or other USB peripherals you want to hide, but need easy access to. Built-in cable management rails on each side of BackPack keep your cables in place. No more watching your power cable slip to the floor when you unplug. You can even tie the extra length of cable to the BackPack rails to keep things super tidy. When you bring your hard drive back to your Mac, your cables are ready and waiting.

Tall is no problem for this small shelf.

BackPack includes four vertical support pegs that can be arranged in different formations to accommodate a wide range of vertical devices. The vertical support pegs can be used to safely and securely prop up hard drives, store a MacBook or hold any other device that weighs up to 3.5 pounds. Coated with soft silicone, the support pegs won’t leave any marks on your gear and BackPack also includes a silicone landing pad providing even more protection for your devices.

BackPack FAQs

Does BackPack work on the 2021 M1 iMac?
Because the stand of the 2021 M1 iMac is straight at the bottom instead of being flared, the current BackPack is not compatible.

Does the shelf screw into my iMac Stand? Will it scratch it?
No. The clips, when tightened, are a fixed width apart. The BackPack shelf is then held onto the iMac stand with gravity! The only thing that actually touches the stand is the non-scratch, plastic Fit Inserts.
Can I use BackPack for holding my MacBook Pro on the back of my iMac/Apple Display?
It depends on which MacBook Pro you have! BackPack has a weight limit of 3.5 pounds, which unfortunately will not work with the majority of the Pro's with the exception of the brand new 2016 launch 13" MacBook Pro (3.02 pounds). It will also work perfectly with a MacBook Air (2.96 pounds) or Mac Mini (2.7 pounds), but not most MacBook Pro models.
Isn’t Time Capsule too large for the BackPack shelf?
Positioned flat, Time Capsule or a Mac Mini would be too large for BackPack, however, the four included vertical support pegs let you safely and securely prop up Time Capsule, a Mac Mini or any other hard drive in a vertical position.

    BackPacks are awesome

I have BackPacks on both my iMac and and my Cinema Display for organization. On the Cinema Display, the BackPack holds the power supply. On the iMac the BackPack holds an external Hard Drive. The BackPacks are versatile and convenient and overall a brilliant solution.
